Dear Lord,
Thank you for my spouse and my marriage. You have definitely blessed us with each other. We pray for any spouse who has a difficult time speaking soothing and life-giving words. Help us to be life-givers with our words. Help us to speak words of affirmation and nut criticism. We know that our words have power in them, and we desire to use that power to bring life and not death into our marriage. Remind us daily that we are to be building each other up rather than tearing each other down.
