Dear Lord,
Each and every person has a different perspective on parenting. Unfortunately, many marriages are struggling because husbands and wives cannot agree to parent their children in a compromising way, and they lack the ability to communicate effectively. First we pray that you would tear down any prideful ways in our hearts. Help us not to parent stubbornly without consulting our spouse who is on the same team! Second, we pray that our perspectives on parenting would reflect the way you parent. If what we are fighting for is wrong or insignificant please open our eyes and help us to see that we can let it go. Show us how to compromise our rules on parenting so that we are parenting as a team with our spouse. We pray that we would remain humble in heart and trust each other in Jesus’ name, AMEN!
