Letter To My Husband: To The Love Of My Life

Dear Todd,

I wanted to take a few minutes to tell you about the transformation I have witnessed since I started the Wife After God journey last month.
I didn’t tell you I was reading this and still I observed God’s amazing hand on our marriage.

You see little by little I not only noticed changes in me, but I noticed changes in you.
I am so blessed to be your wife and proud of the man you are.
I noticed a gentler spirit emerge in both of us. Perhaps a little kinder. Finding the small things to help one another.

The first time I noticed God’s hand in our marriage since this journey was the day we moved the top of your truck. I asked questions. You didn’t get mad and you were patient. I didn’t yell from lack of communication. It was the smoothest thing we had done together in years. I was in awe.

Next I saw how loving and protective you are of our little girls and their safety and peace. You seek to make them a priority and get to know them. You protected Judy from possibly years of hurt from boys. That is such compassion it touched me.
And the sweet groceries you labeled with notes for sweet Hannah moving out touched her. And praying with us as she headed out on her way for school was so tender and sweet.

We both have seen God’s hand in the Geneva house and the fact that you recognized the sign on the asa cox sign dated specifically so you would know it was confirmation, is all the more reason I know God is moving in you. You knew and could feel this is going to happen.

God wants to continue to bless us. We only need to keep our focus on His plan and keep seeking His advice.
I love you so completely that I think about that Lionel Richie song My Love it makes me emotional because it is us and our struggles and sometimes I can’t put it all into words the depths my heart reaches for you.

With all my heart, till death do we part. Todd, I love you always. My always and forever.
