Dear Lord,
You have told us in your word that we have the power of life and death in our tongue. I pray that I would not take this lightly but would heed this as a warning and as an encouragement. I can either bring life or death to my wife and children simply by the words that come out of my mouth. I need to be so slow to speak and I need to take every word into consideration. Lord, protect my mouth and give me control over my tongue. May my words bring more life than death.
