Dear Lord,
I pray against the urge to sin when I am angry. I know you have allowed me to feel this intense emotion, but I want to have self-control with it. Please help me have self-control when I am angry. I pray I would never hurt my wife or anyone else just because I am angry. Help me to humble myself and navigate my emotions with clarity and a right heart. I pray that anger never has power over me. Give me the strength to stay in your will even when my circumstances stir anger in my heart. Please give me wisdom and understanding with all the emotions you have given to me.
