Dear Lord,
Thank you for my family and the opportunities you have given me to take care of them. As a man, I have a desire to be successful and sometimes that desire leads me to think that my success is wrapped up in how much money I earn. Lord, this is not your definition of success. It is the worlds. Help me to realize that earning a good name amongst my peers is more to be desired than great wealth. I want to be successful at being a loving and kind person who sticks up for the innocent and feeds the poor. When people hear my name I want them to say, “he’s a great husband”. I pray that I would follow in your ways Lord and that I would gauge my success on the reputation I leave behind not how much money I made.
