Encouragement for Newlyweds

Everyone can use a little encouragement now and then so whether you just got married (congrats!) or you’ve been married for a long time stay tuned for today’s episode! After all, don’t we all want to have the newlywed exuberance, excitement, and love? 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 ESV “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.” Our desire is that today’s Marriage After God podcast helps you quickly realize what your marriage is actually about so you can start your marriage

The Return Of Christ

In last weeks episode of The Marriage After God podcast, we went over the Gospel and ended our conversation talking about hope. This week we are continuing that conversation as we talk about the return of Christ, which as Christians, is our hope. “I think that it (the return of Christ) stirs up urgency and excitement for sharing the Gospel with our words and our lives to everyone around us. I’m not talking about the kind of urgency that’s based on fear, we aren’t letting that propel us to consider the return of Christ. It’s not this like, ‘hurry up now’ or even that urgency to tell your friends because Christ is returning but rather because the power of the Gospel is enough.” – Jennifer SmithOur desire is that today’s podcast fills you with a pure hope for Christ’s return and that you have a desire to prepare yourself so you can await

The Gospel

The gospel is the foundation of everything we as Christians believe, and the reason Jennifer and I started our Marriage After God ministry. In this week’s episode of The Marriage After God podcast, we are discussing the single most important topic we will ever share on this podcast – the Gospel. The Gospel is both graciously simple and infinitely complex, but today our goal is to simply share the basic building blocks of the gospel.“There’s a reason why we want to simplify it, I don’t know about you, but I’m going to be a little bit vulnerable here. I have been a Christian for a very long time… I became a Christian at 17, and now I’m 35. I was raised in a Christian home, so I knew God, but it wasn’t until maybe three years ago that I could actually fully verbalize the Gospel.” – Aaron SmithOur goal is that today’s podcast will

What Does God Love?

I was reading in Psalms 37 and there was a line that says “For the Lord loves justice”… and I thought how cool is it that the word directly told us what God loves. I thought it would be fun and instructive for us to find out if there are any more places in the Bible that tell us directly what God loves. If God loves it maybe we should too. And we know from Psalm 107 that God’s steadfast love endures forever. It never ends or changes so he must still love today those things he said he loves back then. Psalm 36:7 How precious is your steadfast love, O God! THE WORLD John 3:16 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. The world meaning the people he created in His
