I think it goes without saying that we all need to be comforted at times. I also would imagine that many of us have not been comforted when needed it most. In our modern-day culture, the word Love is not as defined as it used to be, or at least it used in a much broader sense and as a result has become diluted. And the love of some things cannot be the same love that we have for people, is it? No. obviously there are different kinds of love. When we say we love our kids or our spouse…. we are not loving them with the same kind of love that we do inanimate objects, hobbies or food. So who gets to define love? culture? modern history? Poems, magazines, or how we individually define it…or is love defined by something else or someone else? It is unfortunate that the word Love has been watered down so much and used in so many ways. It can be easy to use it just as flippantly in the more important relationships. In this episode, we discuss this idea and ask ourselves a real and serious question. When we say we love how do we know we mean it?
