Letter To My Husband – A Prayer

Dear Father, I thank You for giving me Luke as my husband. Thank You for the gift of marriage, and the opportunity to reflect Your love story. Thank You for life-long companionship, the deep bond that my husband and I get to share, the friendship, the intimacy. I pray that I would be a crown to my husband. That I would bless him all the days of his life bearing the fruit of joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. That I would be an unveiled wife withholding nothing, and being completely transparent. I pray that I would respect my husband, and submit to him out of reverence for Christ. Remove any pride from my heart, and transform me in to the wife You designed me to be. I lift up Luke to You, that You would bless him, and make him in to the strong leader You designed, and created him to be. Transform his character so he reflects You Lord. Give him a passion to serve You, and do Your will. Thank You for Luke. Thank You for his heart, and his love for me and our children. Father, we desire to have a God-centered marriage with Jesus in the middle. We submit our lives to You. May You transform our marriage as we learn to abide in Christ. To love each other as Christ does unconditionally, and sacrificially. Remove anything that is hindering our relationship with You, and each other. May we learn the importance of praying together, and make it a priority. I pray for protection over our marriage, and hearts against the temptations, attacks, and schemes of the enemy. Help us to always forgive, and reconcile quickly. May we always pursue each other like You pursue us; receiving the precious gift of each other with thankfulness, and joy as long as we have breath in us. May our souls be bonded with Jesus as our superglue, and may we seek You in all of our ways. Amen!
