I often receive messages as to why we send letters of prayer and encouragement to celebrity wives.  I believe God prompted my heart to start this love movement after thinking that celebrities may get time in the spot-light, but how often do they feel genuinely cared for?  My hope is that our community would be a light to these celebrity wives and reveal God’s love for them.

Think about the impact we could make in other marriages if we responded to celebrities with letters of encouragement and prayer for their marriages?

Wives influencing, comforting, and loving other wives!  I think it would be powerful and I believe God is calling us to take action!

This month the Unveiled Wife Community will be encouraging Kelly Preston!

Kelly Preston first met John Travolta in 1987, later marrying him in September 1991.  Both Kelly and her husband John are Scientologists, which is a religious organization, but it has no correlation to Christianity and it does not acknowledge Jesus Christ as the only way, truth, and the life.  We should pray that God captivates both of their hearts and reveals the truth to them about Jesus!  Kelly and John have had three children together, Jett, Ella Bleu, and Benjamin Hunter Kaleo.  Unfortunately in 2009 Jett died tragically of a seizure at the age of 16.  Kelly and John have recently been in the news for another tragedy.  John Travolta has recently been accused of sexual assault with two different massage therapists.  Whether the claims made against Travolta are true or not, I cannot imagine what Kelly must be going through at this time.  Hopefully she will receive these letters and feel the peace of God’s love surround her during this time.

If you are interested in joining this love movement and feel like God is inspiring you to encourage Kelly and her family please take some time to follow the steps below:

• Pray and ask God to anoint your letter.  Ask Him to use you to encourage Kelly and ask Him to inspire the words to write!
• Write Kelly a brief, personal letter, including words of encouragement and a prayer for her and John (Please do not criticize or judge anywhere in your letter, remember this is about reflecting God’s love for them!)
• Note specifically in your letter that the wives at Unveiled Wife are praying for them.
• Take a picture of the letter and post it to Twitter or Facebook tagging Unveiled Wife and Kelly (Twitter: @KPrestonFans).
• Seal your letter to Kelly in an envelope and use the address below

• Somewhere on the front of the envelope write boldly  “unveiledwife.com/kelly-preston”
• Stamp it and send it!
• Be an advocate and encourage other wives you know to do the same! (via word-of-mouth, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
