Letter To My Husband – I Am Forever Lucky And Blessed!

Dear Jeffrey,
My heart knew you before I knew you. Your very name was familiar to me, though we’d never met. I wanted out of our hometown so badly, but yet you captured my heart in a way that this town never could! We went to the same tiny K-12. With six years difference, that proved to be the perfect number to have never even bumped into each other in the hallways. You weren’t the kind to date around, you unknowingly, were just waiting for me.

I’m so lucky! I am so lucky that you are a man of high morals and respect. I am so lucky that you are a man who knows what it means to work hard. I am so lucky that you and I are so alike, we have the same intents in our hearts and we understand each other without explanation in so many situations. I am just so lucky!

In a world where so many people are confusing to me, where social interaction is equal to calculus to me, I am so lucky to find someone, anyone, who I connected with so quickly and easily that it seems natural. I was born to be with you, specifically, and I am so lucky that you were in my own “backyard”, only 6 miles away all our lives.

I’m so lucky to have someone who can hold me, guide me, lead me, comfort me, protect me, and support both the goals and the dreams of a life I only wished I could have. I always wished for someone older, taller, and stronger, someone who was willing to let me be who I am, someone who’d let me be a mom and housewife! I praise God for you in my life. What would I do without you! You make me laugh as much as you can. You make me feel so safe and protected. You are everything to me. I love the confidence and security I feel in our marriage, knowing that neither one of us is going anywhere is so comforting and beautiful to me. You’re a great example to our kids of what a man should be to his wife. Thank you for showing your children a great example of a hard working, loving, respectful man! I love you forever, to the moon and back!
Your Wife,
Ericka
