Dear Lord,
Recognizing how different we are from one another allows us the opportunity to consider how our distinctness is a part of Your design. Please help us to appreciate the many ways we complement each other. We also thank You for the way our marriage represents the church and its relationship to Christ. Lord, You have given us this gift of marriage not only to be enjoyed but also to be used as a vessel to show the world the beauty of love and respect. In Your design of marriage, You have given us roles and responsibilities that in turn bless us.
Help us embrace and obey Your Word where it addresses and describes our responsibilities to one another.
