Dear Lord,
I lack self-discipline. I often say things I shouldn’t, look at things I shouldn’t, think things I shouldn’t, and even have wrong motives. I feel like Paul when he says in Romans 7 “For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate.” Help me to gain this powerful character trait. I want to have full control over my mouth, eyes, mind, and heart.
